I am returning to an old motif I have used many times in the past, the postage stamp. The first stamps that I painted were in oil on gesso primed paper 30 by 22 inches in the early 1990s, and over the years I have returned to the postage stamp for several of my political satire paintings. Some times the ideas come out of my head, while at other times, I have been inspired by a magazine cover. So, now I have 2 new postage stamps in mind, and I will be working on them for the next few weeks.
