Okay, I can agree. I like Taibbi but I too think he goes over the edge to make a point every now and then.

I saw him on the Racheal Maddow show recently and I actually think he fits what this guy is saying about Taibbi more in person. You have to pay attention or he will loose you with all the extra jargon.

What I am grateful for is you. This writer pin points it in the last paragraph of the article. I too read everything I could to try to understand what happened and how to understand what was being said by writers like MT. This is the last paragraph;

"The villains of the last crisis, he observes, are the same people now tasked with preventing the next one.“We live in an economy that is immensely complex, and we are completely at the mercy of the small group of people who understand it — who incidentally often happen to be the same people who built these wildly complex economic systems,” he writes. “We have to trust these people to do the right thing, but we can’t, because, well, they’re scum. Which is kind of a big problem, when you think about it.”"

It is the 'being at the mercy of the small group who understand it' that brought you to mind. Teh writer failed to mention that these 'understanders' can't explain in simple language what happened and what needs to be done. "Wildly complex" is an understatement in its own right and yet you made it less complex in YOUR daily explanations. You did not read it as 'copy' of a story, you knew, know and understood it.

So, thank you for your efforts and continued support of the finacially dumb asses like myself. Continue on and have a Happy New Year and hopefully a prosporous one. Sell many hats and shirts.
