Saturday Is For Art

These six pieces are from what I refer to as THE ENVELOPE COLLECTION. They were all done before 2008 on black envelopes that I received reports and saved because I liked the texture of the paper. I am working on a square piece on plywood and hope to show a picture in progress in a week or two.

Dear Fred,

I think it is so interesting to not only see the reflective elements in your art work but also the prophetic. The latter assisted by wisdom of course.

I recently created an overtly 'opinion' painting recently with small $ signs and called it 'Earth For Sale'.... You might be interested...I've written about it on my blog under the title of Earth For Sale.

I went to your blog, but did not see Earth For Sale, so I will try and google it. I love your paintings. I need to put your blog address on my blog so I can get over to see you more often. Your paintings are so fresh and unique.

As for my political-economic art, it didn't take much, it just came out. The United States, unfortunately, has a number of greedy, mean spirited, selfish and unethical people. And some of them are running the country. Deregulation does not work, and now the rest of the world is paying, along with us, for that greed.
