The Altarpiece: Drawing & Painting




These 3 photos show work in progress. Drawing and redrawing, painting and repainting, and so it goes. The top photo is the outside of the 2 doors, the middle photo is the inside of the 2 doors, and the bottom photo is the case. Little by little it gets done. The red oxide is underpainting for gold acrylic paint as in the top photo.

The altar piece is coming along very nicely. I really like the gold. And the clever flag emblem on the butterfly is great. It certainly looks like a big project.

I also enjoyed seeing the paintings by your father. I'd seen the fiddler before and admired it.Kathryn
