LA And Points South

If traffic is any indication of economic activity, then California has a lot of economic activity. People in the LA area are driving their cars and trucks and riding their bikes and walking up and down the streets.

The economists and "bright people" that said we, in the USA, don't need to make anything, should re-think that strategy. A service industry is nice, but in my opinion we need to produce things as well.

Have a nice Sunday.

Now if we could just use those minds to make more environmentally-friendly mass transit options a feasible alternative.

Individual huge automobiles is the worse environmental disaster we have perpetrated in the U.S.
Autos are for transport...period. We don't need %50,000 autos to move us around. ...or do we....if so, we are beginning to pay the real price.

I would like to see cars use less gasoline. If we could do it with electric, that would be great. Battery technology someday will permit us perhaps to do that. I can list the reasons why importing less oil would be good on several levels. I know you all could too.
