Health Care: Hearts In The Right Place

How does that little saying go? You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Well, in my opinion, the Republican Party has been able to fool a majority of the voters some of the time, but they can not fool a majority of the voters all of the time. What happens when they will be able to fool fewer and fewer voters? The truth about the Health Care Reform Bill will come out, and the majority of voters will see the truth and what is fiction. Change comes hard, but change does come, and it is that change that has leveled the playing field for families throughout history. The political-economy is not that complicated when you are trying to take care of your family, and, you see things done by your government that makes your job of providing health care for your family a reality. This has been a big frigging deal for millions of Americans. It is not perfect, as few things are the first attempt, but their hearts were in the right place.

Stay tuned.

I keep hearing cries for a return to the ideas of "The Framers" - those men of genius who founded this country. And they were geniuses. In their time. This country, this culture, this society has evolved in the last two hundred plus years. A return to the ideas and ideals of those men - men who owned slaves, men who felt that only propertied men could vote, men who thought only MEN could vote - may not necessarily serve the purposes of our evolved condition. I'm just sayin'.

Some day...hopefully soon, everyone will get disgusted with the Republicans complaining about everything and will want to hear about some positive changes from this group.

The Republicans are complaining loudly about the cost of healthcare reform but where were the complaints from this group when the Iraq war went unfunded in the budget? Where were the complaints when only a small segment of the population were given tax breaks? Where were the complaints when Bush signed the Medicare drug bill?

Yes! Let's go back to the founding fathers. If it was good enough for them- leeches and trepannings for everyone! I'm going to go hang my barber/surgeon shingle right now.

What we are seeing is the end of the Republican Party. The people that are on the radio and TV, like Limbaugh and Beck, are making money for themselves at the expense of the Republican Party, but the Republicans don't see it yet. The vast majority of Americans know the truth about health care and they will vote their self interest when times are tough.
